Hitchcock's Birds

I was looking through some old photo folders and stumbled on these videos I shot last November. For serveral days, these migrating birds entertained us. If you are my age, you might remember the old Hitchcock film 'Birds'. For the young folk out there, it was a horror film where birds invaded in masses and attacked people. It scared the bejeebies out of me! Thank God the birds in these videos aren't as aggressive.

You had a lot of birds in your trees, I bet they were a little noisy.

The Birds is one of my favorite Hitchcock movies.

You wouldn't want to park your car under those trees

OMG there were hundreds of them!
Where did they all come from? I wouldn't dare park my car either, neither read books under those trees.

They are too far away to tell what kind of birds they are. Starlings? I know some birds do that flocking thing. Were they noisy?

I think of the same movie every time I see a big flock of birds like that. It is a little unsettling. Thanks for the video.

I love the movie "The Birds." We get birds around here just like what you have. It's pretty neat the watch them!

I guess I'm old because I do remember the movie "The Birds". Haven't seen it in a long time, but your pictures certainly do remind me of the movie.
I don't think hubby will allow computer to go on the trip, but son has computer once I get to his place. I'll take notes and pictures.

LOL Jase.... good lawd he cracks me up. Lily...this is spooky. I was so scared when I saw that movie as a kid. He was the master at horror. I loved that he left things to our imaginations---and we didn't have to see her eye balls hanging out pecked apart, blood oozing.... oh never mind. I don't know what came over me. The Birds made me do it.

I remember that film. My friend and I used to love Hitchcock films. That was a good one. Thankfully, you didn't have to live it, though!

One of the things I miss about no longer living in the Twin Cities is all the migrating birds! Thousands upon thousands in huge flocks would fly by our windows, often in formation. So cool.
