Yep, you're reading it right...
Eight and one-eighth inches around this bad boy!
We can't sell these because they don't fit in the cartons.

Oh my goodness Lily, that is a huge egg. What are you feeding those chickens?

Are these monster eggs coming from the same hen? If so, she might be part duck or something, don't you think?

No way! Another record breaker, I can't believe it, when will your hens hit their limit? I love when you put up yet another bigger egg. I wonder if you'll ever have one with eight yolks inside? One like that could probably get its own reality show, lol.

How about a fried egg sandwich?

And how big are these chickens?? And what did you FEED them?? LOL

Our hens eat regular layer feed, scratch and corn, plus leftovers from the table. (They LOVE spaghetti and mashed potatoes.)

The large eggs are not from the same hen. Some are brown, some green.

I'm going to measure every 'giant' we get. I'll post any record breakers. Although, I can't imagine them getting much bigger! I think I'll give the title holder a place of honor in my sidebar...

Seeing this mammoth egg helps me understand why chickens squawk and made me squeeze my bottom. Errr I mean kegel. burrr-awwk. [or something like that...] Does Mr J eat them???
